My name is Lucia Öhrig. I am a photographer and artist based in Bremen, Germany. I am fascinated by the potential of visual language and how it can offer access to complex, socially and politically relevant topics. Particularly I am interested by the limits and possibilities of photography. I believe that the narratives and the space that can be created between images has the potential to make the supposedly invisible more visible.

In addition to my visual art practice, I also work in the field of socio-cultural and art education. The roots of this interest lie in my experience and practical training, which I was able to gather during my school years in the social education branch of a secondary school. Since graduating I have been involved in many projects.
