Konstruierte Grenzverläufe - This work is about the Oder-Neisse border between Germany and Poland. I explored the topic of borders, their construction and how they are changed by humans and history. The Border between Germany and Poland was redrawn by the victorious powers as a result of Second World War. In this context Polands border moved far to the west and several cities were divided. They are now known as twin cities. For my Bachelor Thesis I worked on thoose Cities and the Oder-Neisse Border.
On the one hand my photographie show the course of the border and thus the common interface of the divided towns. On the other hand, they show cityscapes east and west of the river.
